Mario Leonard Mercado , a 16-year old Twentynine Palms teen, was killed in atruck accident. According to witnesses the teen entered the roadway where he was struck by an oncoming truck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the fatal truck accident.
