Riverside Officer Hit At DUI Checkpoint

A Riverside deputy was preparing a DUI checkpoint when he was hit by a vehicle causing injuries. The deputy was setting out traffic cones along Alessandro Boulevard in Moreno Valley when he was struck . It is unknown whether the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. The deputy was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center and is expected to recover from his injuries.
