A class action lawsuit has been filed against The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company ("VALIC") in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. The class action lawsuit seeks to recover damages for purchasers of the annuity product. The suit alleges that defendants marketed and sold the annuity product by making material misrepresentations and failing to disclose material facts concerning the annuity product.
